Daniel E. Friedmann

Daniel is currently helping Solutum get its biodegradable plastic to market and scale. Until recently, Daniel was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Carbon Engineering Ltd., a climate solutions company, until November 2023. During his time at CE, CE’s Market cap increased 40X, common share value 20X, employees 15x, and its first commercial plant was financed at 1.1 billion USD with no shareholder dilution.  Prior to Carbon Engineering, Friedmann led aero-space company MDA as CEO for 20 years, during which time the company went public, its revenue grew 19-fold, and market capitalization increased 35-fold. He was named Brendan Wood TopGun CEO in Canada in 2015-2016, a designation awarded as an expression of the highest level of confidence in a CEO, as voted by key investors and stakeholders.
